ODIO TOV (referred to as "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the OneOk Connect mobile application (the "App").
The App functions strictly as a local network diagnostics and diagnostic analysis utility tool. We built this App as a free utility service, designed to perform network speed tests, ping queries, port scans, and local DNS analysis on-device.
1. Information Collection and Use
The App is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. Below is a list of the data types processed by our App:
- IP Address: The App retrieves your current public IP address to perform Geo-IP lookups (determining your country, city, and ISP). This request is processed through public API endpoints (such as
ip-api.com). The IP address and geographical metadata are only processed on-device and are not uploaded to our servers or saved externally. - Speed Test Results: All network speed test logs (download speed, upload speed, ping latency, and jitter) are stored strictly locally on your device in a secure private database (Room). This data is entirely offline and is never transmitted to us or any third parties.
- Network Status: The App checks your current network connection type (Wi-Fi or Cellular) to provide network information. This data stays entirely on your device.
2. Permissions Requested
To provide its core functionality, the App requires the following system permissions:
- Camera Permission (CAMERA): Used solely to scan server QR codes to easily import server details (IP address and port) into the diagnostic list. The camera feed is processed locally on-device for barcode detection, and no image data is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- Internet Permission (INTERNET): Required for the App to perform speed tests (via Cloudflare endpoints), DNS queries, ping tests, and Geo-IP requests.
- Access Network/Wi-Fi State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / ACCESS_WIFI_STATE): Required to detect active connections, prevent testing when offline, and determine whether you are connected via Wi-Fi or cellular networks.
3. Third-Party Services
The App utilizes the following third-party libraries and service providers to handle diagnostic tasks:
- Cloudflare: Public CDN endpoints are used to perform download and upload speed measurements. Only raw data traffic necessary for the test is transmitted.
- Google Play Services / ML Kit: Google's on-device ML Kit library is used to analyze QR codes. No image or metadata is shared with Google or saved.
- ip-api.com: Used to resolve public IP addresses and retrieve location and ISP metadata. Please refer to their privacy policy for details on how they handle transient queries.
4. Data Retention and Security
All data created by the App (such as the diagnostic history logs) is stored locally on the user's device. You can clear this history at any time by clicking the "Clear History" button within the App. We implement industry-standard practices to ensure your local database is secure, but please note that the security of locally stored data ultimately depends on the security of your mobile device.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. Any updates are effective immediately upon publishing to this page.
